Butyl Glycol BG (also called 2-Butoxy ethanol; Ethylene glycol butyl ether) is a colorless flammable liquid with a moderate ether odor. Inhalation of this vapor may cause respiratory tract irritation and liver and kidney damage. Vapor is irritating to the eyes, and skin contact may cause dermatitis. This product is flammable, toxic, and irritating.

 

Application

  • Used as a solvent, metal detergent, paint remover, lubricating oil remover, automotive engine detergent, dry cleaning solvent, epoxy resin solvent, and extractant for coatings.
  • Printing inks, stamp printing pad inks, oils, resins, etc;
  • It can be used as a stabilizer of emulsion paint, evaporation inhibitor of aircraft paint, surface processing of high-temperature baking enamel paint, etc.
